Seasonal or Annual Rental in Fort Myers? Questions to Ask
Choose a rental around the dates and living arrangements you actually need. A quoted monthly rent does not answer whether the home is available for your stay, furnished as expected or subject to a separate community approval process.

Confirm the exact dates before comparing rent
Tell the team your arrival date, departure date and any flexibility. Ask whether the listing is offered for your entire period and request the rate for those dates in writing. Do not treat a displayed monthly amount as a confirmed seasonal rate or assume that an advertised property is still available.
Make a furnished-home inventory
Request a written description of the furnishings, kitchen equipment, linens, internet setup and items excluded from use. Compare the inventory with your needs instead of relying on photographs alone. Ask who handles an appliance problem and which contact to use during the tenancy. Clarify any owner storage areas before moving in.
Compare all charges and utility responsibilities
Create a move-in checklist covering rent, deposits, application or association charges, cleaning, parking and any other stated fees. List which utilities are included, who opens each account and whether an allowance or cap applies. Ask how the final charges are calculated. Read the proposed lease before treating any advertised inclusion as agreed.
Review the property and community rules
Ask about pets, vehicles, visitors, occupancy, amenity access and required approvals for the particular unit. Request current written rules and the application steps. A building’s rules and an owner’s lease terms are separate documents; check both. Plan enough time for the stated approval process before arranging travel or movers.
Prepare an efficient rental inquiry
Share dates, occupants, furnishing needs, pets where relevant, parking needs and budget. Include the listings you are considering. Wespiser Dickey Team can help narrow available options and identify unanswered questions. Avoid sending sensitive application documents through a general website inquiry; use the designated application channel when provided.
Questions and answers
Is a seasonal rental always furnished?
Confirm the inventory and the lease terms for the actual property. Do not infer furnishings from the word seasonal.
Does a video confirm availability?
No. Request current availability and the rate for your exact dates before making arrangements.
